Activities of Council 46
During the year the Council and its members support the community by furnishing cash, goods and services to the Norwalk
Catholic Parishes and other service organizations. We provide College and High School scholarships for sons, daughters and grandchildren
of Council members, and make hospital visits and attend wakes and funerals of members and their families.
Our annual Tootsie Roll drive raises funds to assist mentally challenged citizens, and we supports the Columbiettes Campership Fund.
Members collect and deliver non-perishable food items to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. Case donations are made to Parishes,
the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the Notre Dame Convalescent Home, S.T.A.R. of Norwalk/Westport. We hold monthly macaroni dinners
to support our scholarships and the Council's other charities. In addition, members support their Parishes
as special ministers of the Eucharist and as lectors, ushers, choir members, Parish council members, and in myriad other ways.
And we are always in need of new members to aid in these good works.
